Sustainability standard of sheet metal to higher level

Circular and ecologically responsible business practices are increasingly becoming the norm for manufacturers and suppliers. Maiburg, a specialist in wood and board materials, is therefore proud to offer the latest board material from Pfleiderer. The decorative chipboard OrganicBoard Pure P2 is made from renewable raw materials. With this, Pfleiderer shows that quality and sustainability can go hand in hand.

With OrganicBoard Pure, the German manufacturer introduces a revolutionary product that, according to Van Boxtel, takes the standard in sustainability to the next level. "The OrganicBoard board materials use recycled wood and biogenic bonding, which enables a significant reduction in the ecological footprint."

One of the key innovations in the OrganicBoard series is the use of OrganicGlue, a sustainable adhesive made from renewable, biogenic raw materials. These raw materials are produced as by-products from other industries, relieving pressure on fossil resources. As a result, the adhesive contributes not only to a more stable supply chain, but also to cleaner and more sustainable production. This biogenic nature extends the life cycle of products by using sustainable materials.

Another strength of Pfleiderer OrganicBoard is the use of recycled wood. This not only reduces the ecological impact, but also ensures that the CO2 stored in the wood is retained longer. This actively contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gases.

OrganicBoard Pure P2 is based on a resource concept that minimizes fossil resources. OrganicBoard Pure P2 is made entirely from 100% recycled wood and 100% biogenic adhesive. This formaldehyde-free product offers maximum environmental compatibility and meets the most stringent emission standard F****. This product also carries the Blauer Engel label.

The versatility of the OrganicBoard series makes the board material suitable for a variety of applications, from furniture and interior design to larger projects in residential and commercial construction. Pfleiderer's new DST-Xpress collection, to be introduced in early 2025, will soon be available entirely in Organicboard Pure P2. The 154 decors available offer customers endless possibilities for inspiring and sustainable designs. This collection includes a wide range of wood and material decors.  

The OrganicBoard series also has practical benefits, such as antimicrobial protection, easy cleanability and food safety. This makes the material suitable for environments with high hygiene standards, such as health centers, hotels, restaurants and educational institutions.
