DecoLegno celebrates 10-year anniversary together with Binnenwerk

Having a birthday together means celebrating together. Not only Binnenwerk, but also DecoLegno is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month. Both parties are now established names in the world of interior and furniture construction. 

In recent years, many interior architects, designers, builders and furniture makers have become acquainted with the collection of decorative sheet material from the Italian brand Cleaf through Binnenwerk, and have become convinced of its distinctive character. We talk to Patrick Leering, founder of DecoLegno, about the collection that has developed over the past ten years, under his inspiring leadership, into a veritable Valhalla of decor and structure. 

2010 - Remember this one?

The first Cleaf collection launched by DecoLegno in 2010 was the Sherwood. "The natural character of the wood decor combined with the tactile, rustic relief was unique in the Dutch market at that time. To this day, Sherwood is the most popular texture in DecoLegno's range," said Patrick Leering. "Cleaf's strength is the continuous innovation in texture perception. By using high-quality technologies, they are able to develop unique decors and textures that provide an experience not unlike that of the real material. Be it wood, concrete, marble or textiles. The unique design value of the textures takes any interior to the next level."

Moving with the times

The world of fashion, design and interior design is constantly changing. Trends follow one another in rapid succession. When asked how DecoLegno deals with this, Patrick is abundantly clear. "We understand the art of moving with it, without losing the power of timeless design. Together with Cleaf, the collection is constantly being developed to match the contemporary zeitgeist. From elegant walnut variants to luxurious leather textures, from graphic 3D structures to modern wood decors."

2020 - DecoLegno faces the future colorfully

"With the celebration of our 10-year anniversary, DecoLegno is entering a new phase. We have therefore decided to develop a contemporary head office at HoogTij, the centrally located business location in the industrial heart of the Zaanstreek. Recently we have acquired ownership of a plot of land and with that the starting signal has been given for the development of this new office. The future also looks colorful at the collection level. We have just launched the Ovatta collection, with no fewer than 23 contemporary uni colors. From Classic blue to stylish bordeaux, from trendy terra to tropical green and from warm chocolate brown to romantic pink. Structure Ovatta has a velvety feel and a matte appearance. This makes DecoLegno ready for the future," says a proud Patrick Leering.
