Clamex S-20

Following the successful product launch of the cordless groove milling machines Zeta P2 and Classic X in 2022, Swiss wood jointing pioneer Lamello is bringing a new joiner to the market. The Clamex S-20 is a demountable furniture connector and is based on the universally known 4mm insertion principle.

With its narrow construction and numerous corner joints, the connector opens up completely new dimensions in wood joining technology.

Like every Clamex connector from Lamello, the S-20 can be disassembled and is powerfully connected to the mating element via a lever. Machining for the connector can be done in the proven Lamello system with the Classic X or the Top 21 groove milling machine. The connector halves are each anchored in the groove with two screws and provide a secure fixing. The small access gap of 6 mm to close and open the connector offers an aesthetic image, whether for corner, surface or frame connections. A new feature of the Clamex S-20 is its narrow construction, which allows installation in very thin materials. Thus, mitre joints are possible from a material thickness of 14 mm or butt joints with front installation from 8 mm material thickness. Like any Clamex connector, the S-20 can also be used for corner joints from 30° - 180°. The system includes a drilling jig that is included with each sales unit. This allows precise positioning of the drill bit even at sharp mitre angles.

With any groove milling machine - can be used anywhere

Because the Clamex S-20 is based on the 4 mm groove system, it can be made with any commercially available groove milling machine. This makes this connector an excellent choice if, for example, no Zeta P2 is available on the construction site. The Clamex S-20 can also be used on site to make precise and attractive furniture joints and thus assemble panels or entire cabinets. Not only on the construction site or in the workshop, but also for hobby joiners with their own groove milling machine, there are now (almost) no limits with the demountable Clamex. Typical applications in furniture or interior construction are cabinets under sloping roofs, in frame construction or
prototype construction.
