Matte brass is the trend for a masterfully beautiful look

Chances are that you, like me, occasionally socialize at the bar somewhere. In your favorite café, in the cafeteria of the sports club, or somewhere in the country during a social gathering. One foot on the brass footrest below, with one elbow hanging on the brass tube that circles the bar. "Without realizing it, that's when you come into contact with our company," Martin Hohmann says with a smile. He is an account manager at German company G-Fittings GmbH. "Almost everyone has stood on us or had us in their hands at one time or another!"

G-Fittings GmbH is an offshoot of the widely known brand Antiqua. A brand that has been marketing brass products for over 25 years, including the aforementioned pipe coupling systems. G-Fittings has split off to serve the market in Europe in a more focused way, with great products such as pipe coupling systems and a product range in fittings for glass doors. The latest trends according to Hohmann: "Products in a matte brass or anthracite black finish."

An understated, chic look in matte brass.

No new color, but a new process

"Brass is still the core business at our parent company. We produce the pipe coupling systems for hand and foot systems every day. These products find their way internationally not only to the hospitality industry. The program at G-Fittings is much broader than that. We entered the market with the G-Fittings brand ten years ago, and we are starting to gain name recognition. We supply interior designers, glass and metal companies," Hohmann explains.

The new trend colors matte brass and anthracite black can be supplied within the entire range of products. "As a pipe coupling system and as fittings for glass doors, including all associated accessories. In order to apply matte brass and anthracite gray as a top coat on a stainless steel surface, a new process is used, namely 'PVD,' which stands for 'Physical Vapour Disposition.' This micron-thin nanolayer creates a highly decorative effect. The fine stainless steel structure is visible in the color thanks to the small (but no less strong) layer thickness."

One Stop Shopping

For G-Fittings GmbH, the current focus is on the pipe coupling system in matte brass and anthracite gray. "We are expected to come out with the program of door fittings in these trend colors in the middle of next year. Think then of glass clamps, door handles, hardware and floor pots. Profile for shower enclosures is also within the delivery program. We can already supply these items, but only on a project basis. Various disciplines within interior construction are taking on entire projects in these trend colors. We take on these projects both as longitudinal material, as well as as ready-made construction kits, delivered to the customer's specifications."

 With a choice of stainless steel brushed, stainless steel polished, brass polished, matte brass and anthracite black, G-Fittings meets a growing need for pipe fittings and door hardware with a beautiful, rich finish. "Even the glass for the glass doors, we can provide custom fit, in that respect it's 'One Stop Shopping' with us. The only thing we don't do is measure and install," Hohmann said. 

"The great thing is that everything can be applied together. For example, our glass clamps can be combined with the pipe coupling system. This prevents color differences. Associated accessories for the pipe coupling system, such as half and whole end balls and end caps, are also supplied in the same colors. This is how we serve the interior builder who really has an eye for detail."

Distribution of G-Fittings products is through stocking partners or can be done directly from the factory. "We supply every professional in interior work," Hohmann says in conclusion.
