Environmentally friendly oils and innovative lacquers for protection of wood floors and furniture

Woca Netherlands has been supplying high-quality oils, lacquers and maintenance products to the Dutch market since 1998. The originally Danish company develops innovative solutions designed to extend the life of wooden surfaces while maintaining a natural appearance.

The product range of Woca Netherlands consists of a total solution for wood. "We do something ín the wood," says Henk Laverman, owner of Woca Netherlands. "For that we have two systems: oil and soap. We call this saturation, and that's the most important thing. The fibers and pores of the wood are filled as much as possible. With each maintenance, the wood becomes stronger, more serviceable and better protected against wear and tear."

A notable development at Woca is the renewal of their Diamond Oil Active. This oil, specially developed to protect wooden floors and furniture, is now free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This means that the product is more user-friendly and meets the growing demand for environmentally friendly products in the woodworking industry.

"All variants of our oil are now solvent-free. This gives users more time to complete their work carefully because the oil soaks into the wood and has a longer open time. Only when polishing or rubbing does the oil really begin to harden," Laverman says. He explains that after 36 hours, this oil is as strong as many two-component oils, while the product is easier to handle. 

"In addition, it is water repellent after three to five days, which is comparable to 2K variants." Another advantage of Diamond Oil Active is the ability to mix the oil in different colors. "This is also what many interior builders do; they regularly create their own color variations, which they can use to give a unique look to their projects."

Innovative paint system for the furniture industry

In addition to their oils, Woca also has a comprehensive lacquer system, the Master Lacquer System, which is suitable for the furniture industry. This lacquer system offers a natural look and is available in a variety of colors. The water-based, non-yellowing lacquers are also non-toxic and safe for use in food preparation environments. "Although people often associate us with our oils, we have had lacquers in our range for a long time. They are widely used abroad, but we now want to promote them more strongly in the Netherlands as well. These lacquers, like the oils, are a green alternative to traditional, chemical-intensive products. We always consider both people and the environment," says Laverman.

Woca Netherlands also supplies UV oil for large flooring manufacturers and finishing products for all kinds of wood. In this way, the company offers a total solution for both smaller craftsmen and large industrial players. Laverman explains, "Our products are designed to protect wood from the inside out. This means that furniture and floors, after treatment, become increasingly protected and even look more beautiful over the years."
