Togetherness on the exhibition floor: the basis for success!

The introduction of sustainable newcomer Saviola was a success at the HoutPro+. We are talking about 100% recycled chipboard with beautifully tactile decors. Baars & Bloemhoff occupied not one but two positions at this year's trade show in the Brabanthallen. At the Maatwerk Awards expo we saw the proud winners of 2020 and the newest talents of the Wood and Furnishing College. Sales Manager Henny Woons looks back on a week full of togetherness.

"It's wonderful to look back on a successful fair. People were really into it, the attendance was top notch and the vibe positive. We were the centerpiece of Hall 5 and the visitors knew how to find us well. They came alone or with their whole team and the trade schools were also well represented. The conversations with our customers had real substance. Not only about the products, but also about sustainability, the Maatwerk Awards and the shortage of good professionals."

Sustainable newcomer(s)

"The introduction of our sustainable newcomer Saviola was very well received. Think of the structures, the appearance and the sustainability aspect. Infinite Wood also attracted good attention. So: veneer made from real wood, but not from the real wood species. You really have to see and feel that material."

Custom Awards, more than beautiful customization

"In the entrance hall, the Bespoke Awards expo was positioned. Here you could see the winners of the 2020 edition complemented by talents of the future. The pieces of work were eagerly voted on. Ties de Vos emerged as the winner with his creation 'The Beginning'."

"The Bespoke Awards are about more than providing a stage for makers," continues Henny. "Together with today's makers, we want to make the industry attractive to the interior designers of the future. As part of the industry, we recognize the problem of a shortage of craftsmen and think along in solutions."

"When I think back on the fair, only one word comes to mind: cooperative," Henny concludes. "Showing together on the fair floor that there is a great will to create something beautiful. On to the next one!"
