Software program integrates web store

Applications experience at new location

PaletteCAD Netherlands continues to evolve. The company is moving to a new location this fall, where guests can truly experience the applications of the software program. In addition, PaletteCAD is strengthening its cooperation with Blum.

PaletteCAD Netherlands had been outgrowing its premises for some time. "In our previous building, we had enough workstations for six colleagues, while there are now thirteen of us," says co-owner Jeroen Smeets. "Our new location is three times as big, so here we can all work together. There is also more space for courses and to show the applications of PaletteCAD in real life."

The applications of PaletteCAD for interior designers are very diverse. With the all-in-one software solution for designing and presenting interiors, users can also import 3D measurements from the Proliner or Hottscan, for example, export to various machines, export to various presentation applications and more. "It is precisely these applications that we want to demonstrate at our new location, so that the big picture and a new way of working can be better explained."

"We are also always working to further improve the ease of use for our customers. One way we do this is by further expanding our library, which includes the products of many well-known brands." One of these companies is the Belgian family business Van Hoecke, distributor of hinges, swing door systems and drawer systems from the Austrian brand Blum.

From design to shopping cart

"We have been working with Van Hoecke for a long time. A logical decision, because they supply the most widely used drawer systems and hinges for interior construction. We are both experts in this industry and in addition, PaletteCAD and Blum also work closely together worldwide." From PaletteCAD users, the question came more often whether it would not be possible to link Van Hoecke's web store to the software program. "This wasn't possible before, but now it is! We are convinced that this is going to save our clients a lot of time and convenience. From PaletteCAD, the order list immediately enters Van Hoecke's shopping cart. Then it's just a matter of checking and paying. I think this order link is definitely an additional reason to choose PaletteCAD."

Blum's digital tool, Blum E-services, has always been Blum's own product configurator, and it had long been available in PaletteCAD. It allows interior designers to work with specialized techniques, such as a flap system or the Revego pocket system. "These systems can be quite complicated if you want to prepare all the machining for a CNC without the E-services. Users work in the tool and then import the data into PaletteCAD. Then our software program does what it does best: you can easily change materials and assign edgebanding, after which everything is set up properly for the CNC. Finally, interior builders can order the materials again via the web store. Very easy, in other words."

Control Blum Easystick

PaletteCAD is now all set with a separate machine link for Blum Easystick. "As soon as Blum can offer this, this coupling will be available, at no extra cost, to all customers. We will then, for the time being, be the only program that can be coupled with this machine, which is widely used by start-up companies." With this, the company offers a convenient addition to the low-end PaletteCAD Start package, which is also well suited for smaller interior design companies.
