Review Prowood 24

A successful edition full of innovation and inspiration

Prowood 2024 was a record-breaking edition. With 16,707 visitors from 11,929 companies, 254 exhibitors and impressive fringe events full of lectures, demos and a real workwear fashion show, the fair once again proved to be the meeting place for the wood sector.

Innovations wood and sustainability

This year's focus was on innovation and sustainability. Visitors could discover the latest products and technologies ranging from advanced woodworking machinery to bio-based materials, parquet and wood construction. Many exhibitors demonstrated their commitment to environmentally friendly solutions, underscoring the growing trend in the industry.

Inspirational speakers and demos

The lectures and demos were a great success. Leading speakers shared their insights on current topics such as AI, Futur Proof Building and Digital Processes. The future of timber construction and optimization software for nesting machines were also discussed in detail. The demos offered participants the chance to explore new materials and techniques in the construction industry.

Future

Looking forward to the 9th edition of Prowood. The large number of visitors and positive feedback confirm that Prowood is an essential platform for the timber industry. We want to continue to respond to the needs of the industry and look for ways to further improve the fair.

Since mid-October, Claever, the organization behind Prowood and HoutPro+ in the Netherlands, has been part of the Xpo Group. This collaboration offers valuable expertise and resources, as well as a wider network and innovative solutions.
