Furniture factory van der Drift acquires operations from HCM Furniture Productions

Furniture factory van der Drift reached an agreement with the receiver this week on the relaunch of the activities of bankrupt HCM Furniture Productions. This takeover means that the collections of Carat-design.com  will continue and existing orders will be delivered. 

Part of the workforce of HCM Furniture Productions has been taken over, ensuring continuity and retention of craftsmanship. 

Mark Hendriks, director of Meubelfabriek van der Drift, says, "We are very pleased with this acquisition. It is a perfect addition to our collection within the higher segment. Moreover, we see a lot of potential in the customer base of Karaat-design."

Former director Harold van Hulsbeek of HCM furniture productions will remain the point of contact for Karaat-Design.

At the furniture fair in Brussels, part of Karaat's collection will be on display at the stand  Van der Drift Hall P booth 007.
