Construction of new business location DecoLegno started

DecoLegno builds new showroom and head office at 't Rak in Business Park HoogTij in Westzaan. 

After months of preparation, the piling rig is on the lot and the piles are going into the ground. On Wednesday afternoon, September 22, Patrick Leering and Guido Hofman, owners of DecoLegno, under the expert guidance of construction partner Hecon, drove the first pile into the ground.

Guido Hofman, co-owner and managing partner of DecoLegno:  

"With the entire DecoLegno team, family, friends and the construction partners, we raised a glass to the construction site in honor of the fact that the real start has now been made. 

As it looks now, the building will be ready in March 2022 and interior construction can begin. This process is expected to take about two months and DecoLegno will move from Wormerveer to Westzaan in mid-June 2022.

DecoLegno was founded eleven years ago in Zaandijk by Patrick Leering, Annemarie Wallenburg and Guido Hofman. As exclusive supplier of the collection of decorative sheet material of the Italian brand Cleaf, the company is now an established name among architects, interior designers and furniture makers. DecoLegno is currently located at Industrieweg 13a in Wormerveer. With the development of a new business location at HoogTij, the company is entering a new phase.

HoogTij is a centrally located location with business lots in the industrial heart of the Zaanstreek and Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. The area is in full development with ambitious plans for sustainability and circular business. 

The plans for the new headquarters of DecoLegno were developed in close cooperation with the municipality of Zaanstad, architectural consultancy B22 and Nunc Architects. With respect for the surroundings and the sightlines to the characteristic Zaan landscape, a building has been designed that meets contemporary requirements with regard to sustainability and design.
