Sliding door hardware for any interior design project

"The best projects are those where we devise and apply smart solutions," Marc van Leth says. "Like at Anytime Fitness where, since 2019, we have been responsible for the custom interior in all Dutch locations, some 100 in total. We incorporated one of our solutions in the 'logo wall manager,' a cabinet wall in which, among other things, the sign-in software for members of Anytime Fitness is integrated."

The challenge of this "wall manager" was not only in designing an attractive solution, it also had to be practical for the users. "The cabinet wall had to contain the log-in software, be securely lockable and keep the equipment discreetly out of sight in closed position. Whereas in the open position, the doors should not be in the way," Van Leth explains. "We therefore chose the reliable Slido Park sliding hardware and Symo locks from Häfele. That turned out to be a good choice, because we have been using it for five years now without any complaints, even with intensive daily use!"

In this project, it is important to minimize disruption to the client during on-site installation and assembly, as the gyms are in full use. With largely pre-assembled sliding hardware, an experienced team and a tight schedule, team van Leth can now complete the assembly within one day.

"It also sometimes happens that the hardware to be used has to meet other requirements," Marc explains. "Like in a bathroom we recently completed. Even then we choose from Häfele's space range. Because of the limited space we had, in this situation we applied a sliding door as the entrance door. A powder-coated door handle on the inside also serves as a towel holder. The exterior features a stylish, milled door handle."

Because of the weight of the door and invisible processing, van Leth made the choice of the HAWA soft-close sliding door system. It ensures safety, closes softly and looks beautiful.

For yet another private client, van Leth, in collaboration with Binth interior design, was commissioned to incorporate a television out of sight. Again, a logical choice was Slido Furniture hardware, which was applied to the composite sliding doors from.
